Sunnyside Community Rebrand

Sunnyside is one of Calgary, AB's oldest communities. This rebrand involved creating a visual identity system rooted in both in-person research and historical analysis. As a researcher, I spent approximately 8 hours conducting in-person research, analyzing my findings, and developing a branding message and concept statement based on the insights gathered. The concept statement that emerged was: "Embracing the collective, liberating individual expression." Guided by this concept, I began developing branding assets to incorporate into the visual identity system. These assets include a wordmark, colour scheme, motion graphics, patterns, shapes, and implementation guidelines.
